Doodh Sagar means sea of milk. This waterfall has been aptly named as the fine misty spray it kicks up gives an impression of flowing milk. To top it all a railway line passes just below the fall. The train emerging from the mist is an amazing sight. Had painted it earlier also ( http://akspaintings.blogspot.in/2016/04/konkan-railway-doodhsagar.html )but wanted to do it in oils this time. Hope you all like it. Have a great week.
Really a lovely work, AK! "Whoo, hooo" for you. Cheers, wink, wink, Sadami

Beautifully captured AK
ReplyDeleteYou have captured the atmosphere very nicely.
ReplyDeleteThis is utterly superb work! There's nothing about it that I don't love. The colors, the composition itself, the mist, I could go on. It speaks to my wild soul - sorry for the drama but right now I'm a bit trapped in my body and house due to a back injury and when I saw your painting I sighed with rapture. You've lifted my spirits with this beauty and for that I'm deeply grateful. Wishing you the deepest peace, joy, and well being.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the kind words Mary. Am so happy that this work helped raise your spirits. Get well soon and best wishes.
DeleteI lingered around a long time admiring this painting :) Thanks for sharing.
