YOO HOOOOO!

     This watercolor should bring a smile on the face of every Mumbaikar (As the residents of Mumbai or erstwhile Bombay call themselves). High tide coupled with strong winds make large waves crash on the pavements of Marine Drive. Its freak out time for children. Sporting adults are not an exception. The spirits are not dampened by the large amount of sand that these waves carry with them. This is what I call the 'Spirit of Mumbai'. If you happen to visit Mumbai and get a chance, make sure you join in the fun.
     The reference picture was borrowed from the net.

    I can feel the sense of the impending wave coming up and over the kids. Very interesting that you used squares and rectangles of color to portray something so organic as water, too. I like it!

    I tried to look closely and divide the colours you used here...It's quite incredible how you create these beautiful paintings and make them alive! I just love your work!

    I really like tis. Trying to figure out if you put the rectangular and square shaped colors before or after everything else. Would love to know. Love the color scheme you chose. A+.
