After my struggle with my last work, wanted to paint something simple, something nice and bright to get the mood upbeat. Nothing to beat the lovely colours of the trees during fall. This watercolor was done from a reference photo downloaded from the net. Nothing very challenging, but the bright colors do brighten up your day and of-course your mood.
Beautiful subtle use of colour here Asit. The wet-on-wet background complements the detail of the branches perfectly.
ReplyDeletePleasant viewing. Very soothing indeed.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. You have done this painting very nicely. Even though you have considered this painting simple but according to me it is not easy to capture the way you have captured.

Asit,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Is this a Japanese Maple? They have some of the most brilliant reds. You are a master of what you do!
Thank you,
Brian
Beautifully done. I like the muted colors in the background and how the reds really sing against them. Sometimes the simple things are the most beautiful and meaningful :)

ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted!
ReplyDeleteThe negitive painting is wonderful hear. I love the deep indian red hue in the leaves.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colours. A really lovely painting. And I also loved your Buddha - it may not have been what you wanted, but it works for me!
ReplyDeleteNothing very difficult? Asit, I find that this subject is not easy. I always have many difficulties with the leaves of trees, then I paint trees in winter... I find that you managed to make them light and I like your choice of colors, bravo.
ReplyDeleteNicely composed and I love the subtlety of all those leaves. You have done a great job.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of these trees in our garden. I took a photograph up through the leaves with the blue sky above as the backdrop - but just haven't go around to painting it yet. This is a superb painting. I love thje way that the leaves fade in to the background. It's very cleverly done indeed :0)
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Asit...
ReplyDeleteMuy original, parece que avisas la llegada del otoño con esas hojas de liquidambar. Un saludo.
ReplyDeleteLove the red leaves. Transparent and beautiful.
