This watercolour was made by me for Virtual Paintout for the month of May. This is a shot from the city of Prague. I selected this particular shot over lot of other sights that this lovely city had to offer on Google Street View because of the interesting shadows and reflections that fall all over the place. Capturing them in watercolour was really challenging.

  1. Ciao AK. Bellissima l'immagine di questo particolare di strada. Conosco Praga: è una città meravigliosa e magica. Attraverso questo dipinto mi hai fatto ricordare la suggestione di questo luogo!

  2. Well done, AK. The shadows and reflections read nicely. Bravo!

  3. Graces(Thanks), Ak, for his(her, your) comment. It is the whole honor. And a really magnificent water-color. I like much.

  4. The colors in the pavement are really great, and make this painting. Good job.

  5. AK, thanks for sharing your works, in this case the reflections are well done and the watercolour is very clean, without insist in it.

    Best regards.

  6. Hi AK. Thank you for stopping by my blog and taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. I have checked yours out and it you have such a talent! I think my favorite so far is the watercolour Lilly painting - The colours are beautiful!

  7. This is a good watercolour, thanks for your coments! What about paint on your country you lives in a pictoric place ,I visited Goma before the war, i think that you have a great oportunity to paint beatifull and interssting things living there!!!!!!!!!

  8. Asit, I have already commented on this painting but I wanted to answer your question to me on my blog.

The small success that I have (I believe) is in the composition of the painting. I do mostly still life and I strive to show it in a unique way. I don't know if I am successful, but my goal is to make you look at that carrot or squash as though it is an object you have not seen before. When I first started painting I remember reading that artists spend all their effort looking for that "special" beautiful spot, when actually their job is to MAKE every spot LOOK beautiful. You can do this! It's all about the light.

  9. Asit,
thanks for visiting my blog and comment. I liked your blog and we share similar passion for watercolors.
keep painting and keep posting will be back for more
